Example of Dog Containers
Compatibility
Live animals transported in the same primary enclosure must be of the same species and compatibility groups. The IATA Live Animals Regulations must be referenced for maximum numbers of live animals per allowed container.
Live Animal Acceptance
Effective July 1, 2004, the cutoff time for live animals tendered at the ticket counter ATO/PDQ Office will increase to 1 hour prior to scheduled flight departure. This increase allows additional processing time to ensure live animals are handled with care. The cutoff for other PDQ shipments tendered at the ticket counter ATO/PDQ Office will remain unchanged at 30 minutes.
US Airways is not a participant or approved carrier in the UK PETS Scheme.
US Airways accepts live animals for domestic travel under the PDQ level of service. PDQ is a priority service with three options:

The maximum dimensions of the container may not exceed 115 inches (length + width + height). The combined weight of the animal and kennel may not exceed 100 pounds.
- Live Animal as PDQH - PDQ Heavyweight is offered for live animal shipments weighing between 101 and 200 pounds. PDQH may be tendered at the cargo facility 60 minutes prior to departure with recovery at the cargo facility 90 minutes after flight arrival.
- All shipments must be prepaid unless tendered as PDQO.
Internation live animal shipments may travel as International Air Freight or PDQI. All international shipments of live animals must be tendered and recovered at the cargo facility.
